Role of Technological Innovations in Business Development and Digital Transformation in Eurasian Economic Union Countries

Digital economy development on the current stage, based on digital technologies, is characterized by new threats and opportunities. State initiatives for creating the most favorable digital business environment for economic entities are becoming increasingly important for the successful digital business transformation. The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states single out digital transformation as a priority strategic direction of development within the integration association framework. The active introduction of digital technologies will significantly increase the competitiveness of companies. The issues of development and implementation of technological innovations in business development and digital transformation in the EAEU countries are becoming important. The subject of this study is digital transformation in the EAEU countries. The article presents an analysis of the role of technological innovations in business development and digital transformation in the EAEU countries. The features of creating a favorable digital business environment in the EAEU countries are considered, the positions of the Union in the Global Innovation Index and other international rankings are analyzed. In the course of the study, the problems that need to be resolved in order to achieve the goals set by business in the digital economy and business opportunities for further diffusion of digital technologies are identified.
