The article analyzes the possibility of using factor analysis and modeling for constructing a strategic control system in the company. Currently, mathematical methods are widely used in company management. However, in practice, mathematical methods can belong to the category of deterministic analysis as well as to the category of stochastic analysis and modeling. We consider the evolution of the control function, strategic control, its transformation into a continuous process of monitoring the financial, economic and other performance indicators of the company. At the same time, the advantages and disadvantages of the functional approach to management and its difference from the process approach to management are clarified. In addition, we study the possibility of using deterministic analysis in the construction of a strategic control system in the company, in particular, deterministic factor analysis. In addition, the article uses the example of KAMAZ to determine the advantages and disadvantages of the factor models described in the article for evaluating the company's performance and the possibility of making correct decisions. During the research, the following methods were used: system analysis, factor analysis, financial analysis, accounting analysis, and statistical analysis tools. The result of the research shows that factor analysis and modeling provide a wide range of opportunities to identify factors of the organizational environment that affect the company's financial results. In the course of using factor analysis and modeling, it is possible to develop effective management decisions that neutralize the impact of organizational environment factors on the company's financial and economic results.
