Internationalization of Higher Education in the Era of Scientific and Technological Revolution

The article considers the projects of the higher education system internationalization in Russia as a response to the current technological challenge, as well as the role of the main actors in these projects. It is shown that academic mobility is becoming a managerial technology capable of ensuring the quality of higher education as well as scientific research meeting modern requirements including professional skills of teaching staff and the competitiveness of national education in the world market. The article discusses the possibilities of modernizing a classic university as the basic component of the higher education system in Russia and the ways of its integration into the world educational space without losing its own identity, its national characteristics, improving the quality of intellectual capital — the main product of the educational process and the main intangible asset that ensures the development of the country. The article analyzes the strategy of modernizing higher education, which is understood as a system of factors and managerial technologies, the center of which is the fate of a classical university. Based on the analysis of the academic mobility projects in China and Russia, recommendations are proposed for the modernization of domestic classic university education on the example of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
