The study of family strategies behavior of young people in general and students in particular is relevant in connection with the unfavorable demographic situation in modern Russia, the decisive role of youth in the replacement of outgoing generations, its impact on the social structure of society as a whole, the role of young people in the implementation of positive scenarios for the development of Russia in the global context. From a practical point of view, an additional factor of attention to the chosen problem is that the state youth and family policy has the status of priority activities for modern Russian state, which is confirmed in the activities of a strategic and tactical nature, developed at the highest political and administrative level. The article is a comparative analysis of longitudinal research surveys results of student youth, implemented in 2008 and 2019 to identify the transformations of family values and personalized family strategies among undergraduate and graduate students of Russian universities for 12 years. This study is the basis for correction of already implemented strategic and program measures in the direction of formatting new models of state and social management in the family sphere. The significance of research objectives is determined by the lack of family strategies research among students, who constitute the fifth of the country's young population and by the need to implement continuous monitoring of changes occurring in consciousness of youth regarding family strategies for rapid adaptation of the state in setting priorities and implementing family and social policy of Russia. The article provides recommendations for improving the effectiveness of youth and family policy.
