The authors consider the potential of Russian-European gas cooperation and the possibilities of new energy logistics. The prerequisites for the construction of new gas transmission corridors are considered. The analysis of transit risks through the territory of Ukraine was carried out. The authors came to the conclusion that in the conditions of the growing demand for gas in Europe and the reduction of own production, in Europe preconditions for increasing gas imports are being created. However, in conditions of a highly competitive struggle for the European gas market, ensuring the reliability of Russian gas supplies is possible only in the construction of alternative Ukrainian gas transportation routes in the west.
