The paper is devoted to modern trends of the Digital Economy development and their possible use for stimulating the innovations of Russian entrepreneurship. Taking into account the features of the latter an adequate form to impact and to correspond to the imperatives of the digital transition was found. However, some limitations and possible negative impacts were revealed. This allowed outlining perspectives for further development of this trend in Russia and formulating practical steps for encouraging innovations in Russian business.
