The article examines the concept of human capital of an enterprise and the peculiarities of its formation. The role of human capital in the emergence of synergistic effects in the socio-economic system of an enterprise is explored. The role of a specialized departments as educational platforms common for a university and an enterprise in human capital formation is examined. On the example of the “Aircraft Engineering” department of the Don State Technical University qualitative assessment is carried out and the perspectives of human capital formation for the base enterprise is defined.
