Modern Russian Youth Policy: State Orientations and Regional Practice (Example of the Far Eastern Region)

This article is based on the materials of the research project “The youth policy as a key system of reproduction of skilled labor component of the Far Eastern region of the Russian Federation”, conducted at the School of Public Administration of the Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2017 with the financial support of the faculty. The article defines the importance and the place of youth policy on the agenda of the Russian authorities in the context of policy of social and economic development of the country. The results of the author's analysis of the modern Russian youth policy from the position of its key points and problem zones are described. Positive results achieved in recent years in the state of youth as a labor resource of the Far East are shown, examples of modern successful practices of the region on working with young people are given. The directions for structural and substantial improvements of the youth policy in the Far East regions are described.
