Contemporary Period of the Psychological Warfare in Latin America

The article examines the political, economic, media and geopolitical factors of psychological warfare in Latin America. Special attention is given to the multilevel character of psychological warfare, the active key leaders’ engagement in psychological confrontation, the peculiarities of strategic communications of the USA, Russia and China in the region, and the use of the latest ICT for achieving the dominance over the foe etc. Finally the author focuses on the influence of the presidential campaign in the USA and its’ results on the psychological warfare in Latin American countries.
