Prospects of International Youth Cooperation in the Eurasian Region: Expert Opinions

In the modern world, a necessity for a deep interaction between Eurasian countries has emerged. For example, the former Soviet Union countries had realized that they could not exist without such interaction. Eurasian region is an interesting and promising one in terms of international cooperation. A major issue in addressing the challenges of integration is the youth interaction. The author aimsto study the significance of integration processes in the Eurasian region and the importance of international youth cooperation. The article describes the results of a survey of social sciences experts. Experts surveyed are the residents of both the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, both directly involved in the integration processes in the Eurasian region. Generally, the attitude towards the youth international cooperation is positive. The author notes a number of trends that need to be taken into account and outlines the main problems, which, according to the experts, disturb the development of international youth cooperation. The article also attempts to identify the value of the Eurasian youth organizations in the integration processes and in the lives of young people in general.
