Evolution of the Image of the Enemy. Russian-Japanese Military Opposition and Mutual Perception in the First Half of the XX Century

The article is devoted to the communication aspects of the military opposition between Russia (USSR) and Japan in 1904–1945. The issues of intercultural interaction and mutual perception of essentially different cultures are considered. The author also examines the influence of propaganda on the attitude towards the enemy, the methods of the image of the enemy formation and its transformations in the conditions of a real military action.
