This article explores the phenomenon of globalization of contemporary art space. It defends the hypothesis according to which the world of contemporary art can be regarded as a global network, where a liaison role is played by artistic artifacts. According to the actor-network theory, the analysis of this issue will be focused on the study of globalization as a process that entails changes in the social networks and has an impact on the artistic decisions and those who take them. What principles should the managers in the field of culture and art organizations adhere to in the globalized world of art? What arguments play a role in this process? It is easy to assume that the greater importance is given to the market value and speculation. And while it is certainly so, in this article the issue is considered on a more abstract level.
