Young Students in Modern Russian Society: Spiritual and Moral Values

This article deals with the students’ priorities and their attitudes towards life, the role of moral norms and principles, individual and social interests, changes in the relationship between people, the country and prospects for its development. The article is based on the data collected by the Russian Academy of Sciences Institute of Sociology within the period from autumn 2014 to autumn 2015. The monitoring program was aimed at studying the transformation processes taking place in contemporary Russia. The article emphasizes the importance of developing measures to prevent and overcome external and internal threats, to provide patriotic and moral education and upbringing of young people to ensure the country’s security.
