This article examines the relationship between the quality of life and individual socio-economic indicators of a region. The article presents the description of the original approach to mathematical modeling of this relationship on the basis of logistic regression. The regional economic system is considered as a multidimensional stochastic system, components of which are the various socio-economic indicators of the region, affecting the quality of life of the population. This article describes the creation of a logistic regression on the criterion of maximum likelihood. It is proposed to use logistic regression as a mathematical model of the relationship between the quality of life and socio-economic indicators of a region. An important feature of logistic regression is that it relates to classification methods that do not require building a direct model of the relationship between the quality of life and socio-economic indicators. It is shown that the logistic regression method corresponds to the main characteristics of the mathematical model. The model was tested on the example of the subjects of the Russian Federation. The article explains the use of the index of human development (HDI) as measure of the quality of life. The socio-economic indicators taken from the may Decrees of the President of Russia were used as target reference points. The test has shown the possibility of statistically significant region classification according to the HDI, based on many socio-economic indicators.
