Import Substitution of Economic Theories

Different approaches to the problem of import substitution are reviewed in the article from the point of view of different economic theories: international division of labor and international trade, theories of national reproduction, theories of food security and competitive advantages. The article reviews the prospects of using this economic theories to solve the problem of import substitution in the Russian food market in modern conditions, through the mobilization of competitive advantages of Russian business across the value chain and through the state support of domestic industry.
