The Role of BRICS in Global Governance and Transformation of the World Order: the Chinese view

After the global financial crisis, BRICS is becoming a key global platform for international economic cooperation. Strengthening the role of the BRICS as an indisputable fact has and will continue to have a significant impact on global governance and transformation of the world order, as well as China’s foreign policy. At the same time, we should not overestimate the importance of strengthening the role of the BRICS. Despite the impact on the existing system of global governance and its importance in the transformation of the world order, BRICS cooperation is still in the initial stage of a new type of global governance and is characterized by high uncertainty and vulnerability.
