Patterns of technology dynamics form the basis of innovation processes modeling. In this paper distinctive features in dynamics of innovation processes are presented through the basic model of innovation process. The factors of arising time lags between stages of innovation process are formulated and classified. Technological transitions caused by steady decrease of efficiency in diffusive production technologies are analyzed. Some aspects of innovation process optimization are considered.
