The present article is devoted to the study of the current state and the main directions of development of Russian-Brazilian relations in the context of global changes affecting the system of world politics and international relations. It is noted that Russian-Brazilian relations are developing on two main levels: globally and regionally. At the global level, the parties act as centers of power of the world with a consistent and often coinciding position on many global problems. At the regional level, the parties develop strategic partnership, using the possibilities of regional and international organizations, communities and forums, such as the BRICS. A distinctive feature of Russian-Brazilian relations at the present stage is the soft power that each of the parties base on their own cultural and civilizational paradigm.
