Each year, the issues of social responsibility are becoming more relevant. There are several approaches to the evaluation of the organization’s social responsibility. Some of them are based on a comparison of the results achieved with the standards that characterize social responsibility. Others complement those with characteristics that are not always quantifiable, but that are nevertheless important for the evaluation of organization’s social responsibility, showing its impact on all aspects of society, business and government.

Based on this, the article discusses the conceptual possibilities of using the provisions of the international standards ISO 26000 and IWA 4, as well as CAF models for the development of complex evaluation model of local government's social responsibility.

The conceptual approaches, discussed in the article, to the evaluation of the local government's social responsibility based on the major international documents in that area refer to the internal evaluation. The implementation of these approaches will provide an opportunity to assess the degree of development of social responsibility in the local governments, as well as direct the local governments to accountable, effective and transparent implementation of their obligations to stakeholders.
