An analysis of electoral behavior in the municipalities of Zabaykalsky Region

The article presents the results of an analysis of electoral behavior in the municipal areas and city districts of Zabaykalsky Krai. The article demonstrates the necessity of an integrated approach to such an analysis. The data obtained can be used by local and regional government agencies organizing future political campaigns. The differences in electoral behavior between various municipal formations are also analyzed in the article. The authors establish a correlation between the population’s political activity in a municipal formation and its inhabitants’ local identity. The analysis of political activity in a particular municipal formation allows evaluating the efficiency of local government.
