Communication Strategies in Russian Election Campaigns

The author divides the constituency of a country into two groups. The first are those who have stable political preferences, the second one — those who don’t. Attracting the “unstable” electorate is one the main goals of election campaigns. To achieve this goal specific technologies and strategies are developed. In Russia, where the party system is still in its early stage, the problem of “unstable” electorate is especially urgent. The article explores the practical ways of informational support of election campaigns.
