A Systematic Approach to Planning and Implementing Strategic Changes

The author tries to analyze the main approaches to the planning and implementation of strategic changes. The organization is regarded as a single integrated system, where all organizational relations and processes are interdependent and united. The paper discusses hard and soft systems approaches, criticism of these approaches and shows how to integrate the use of these approaches for more effective implementation of strategic change. The author concludes that to find the optimal strategy for problem-solving, it is important to split the problems into “hard” and “soft” groups.
