This article focuses on the term “removal of marine biological resources” and justifies the necessity of this term. The authors pay specific attention to the differences between “removal” and “export” in international trade. The article examines the basic elements of removal of marine biological resources. Features of removal of marine biological resources in different models of government regulation are described. Basic causes and usual forms of removal are specified.
