Capital of Russia As Global Financial Center — from an Image of Moscow to an Image of Russia

Modern cities and countries are facing a growing global crisis. To avoid losing the competitive struggle for resources, they have to clearly define their positions in national and global economy. Last summer president Dmitry Medvedev announced a plan of a new image positioning for Moscow — making it a global financial center. The article tries to answer — can Moscow stand the competition of such commonly accepted financial centers as London, New York or Hong-Kong.
