Social Instruments in Business Management: Modern Challenges

Marina A. Eliseeva

Graduate student, School of Public Administration, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Modern global business community pays significant attention to the correlations of ethics and economics. World-renowned companies frequently talk about corporate social responsibility. Collapse of several major corporations is an evidence of a growing importance of ethical problems in business. Many top-managers today come to understand the importance of strategic approach and long-term planning, which leads to the creation of a corporate ethical code — both an instrument of social management and motivation management. The article examines the definitions of a corporate ethical code, its functions, micro and macrosocial infrastructures and a process-based approach in ethical code implementation.

Keywords

Ethical code, process-based approach, declarative code, microsocial infrastructure, macrosocial infrastructure.
