Intellectual Capital and the Reputation of Consulting Companies

Evgeny L. Balashov

Graduate student, School of Public Administration, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The article deals with important but under researched problems of economics and management in consulting. The main value of a consulting company lies in its intangible assets: human resources, intellectual capital and reputation. Calculating the company’s Tobin coefficient (tangible to intangible assets ratio) and Goodwill coefficient (the company’s reputation) helps to evaluate its market value. Economic efficiency of the client capital depends directly on the company’s reputation.

Keywords

Intellectual capital structure, evaluating intangible assets, evaluating enterprise value.
