What Is Good and What Is Not: Ethical Dilemmas in Modern Business

Ethical entrepreneurship and following a set of moral guidelines are quickly becoming an international standard of business practice. One of the questions which concerns many researchers around the world is whether the ethics of an individual depend on his consciousness of immorality of a certain action? And if the individual realizes that his action may be considered unethical, what are the chances of him performing this action anyhow

The article presents the results of the authors research conduct in Russia and in Ukraine. The empirical data suggest that the representatives of all four countries analyzed during the research show the same average level of ethics. The author concludes that this situation calls for the attention to the problems of business ethics.
