Administrative Reform in Public Property in Romania

The article examines the legislative changes in Romania after the revolution of 1989. In 1993, Romania adopted a new constitution (further amended in 2003), which recognized the changes in social, political and economical life of the country. The development of a new legislation was a relatively long process — new laws on expropriation, concessions, public and private property was adopted in 1994 and 1998. After Romanian government made the decision to join the EU, additional changes to the legislation (especially to the public property laws) were required.
